The Nuang Kulaypan Hotel is an avant-garde hotel, blending modern art with ancient Asian culture.
The hotel is located on the quiet part of the best beach on Samui Island, and is also within
walking distance to all entertainment and dining venues in the area. The layout is a U-shaped,
two-story building that opens to a unique 100m beachfront garden, giving ample space for everyone
in search of quietness and serenity.
A garden is flanked on one side with a black tiled swimming pool and pool bar. On the opposite
side is the restaurant with its traditional Thai salas wooden huts. Architect M.L. Varavansa has given
great consideration to the decor of the rooms. Therefore, each and every room is artfully furnished.
One is particularly special with a unique piece of art, photography and poetry illustrating the
Japanese tale of Prince Inao. The Inao room is embellished with even more specific decoration.
This room is much larger than any other in the hotel and is furnished with original antiques.
Most noteworthy is the original bed king Mongkut, great, great-grandfather of M.L. Varavansa.
